November 7th Bleeding Through - Rescue Rooms

Considering that at about 6:58 (doors opening at 7) me, Jess and Adele were the only people waiting to go in, it turned out to be a really good gig!

First up were a band called Death Of Thieves.

They were pretty cool, but i recon the lead singer was pissed off because no one was doing anything! He even tried to start a pit himself, jumping off stage, still singing..but to no prevail :(
Talking of the stage, there was no barrier up so i was leaning on the stage throughout the gig...fun times :)

Next up were Viatrophy, sporting a different singer from when they supported Caliban last year. Not so much a new singer, as he was a member when they first started out.

Viatrophy were beastly...in a good way. The beefiest music you could imagine, finally people started moving! At around this time the room had 'filled' to about 100 people, much more than the 3 earlier but not nearly the full capacity of the Rescue Rooms. The good thing about this gig though is that it didnt matter. Its not how full the room is but how much the handful of people there love music, and the audience difinately did love the music, no doubt about that.

In between the sets of Viarophy and Bleeding Through came an annoying drunk girl, defiant in the fact that she was going to talk to me...none stop...about crap...whilst not so subtly spitting in my face with every word she spoke. Not fun times at all, but next came the deal clencher that would make this gig one of my favourites ive ever been to...which is lot by the way!

Last up were headliners Bleeding Through.

Bleeding Through were fucking awesome! I actually let go more than i ever had at a gig, i was moshing like a beast! First up were two songs off their current release Declaration. After these came the monster of a song that is 'For Love And Failing', kicking off with one of the best intros ever, Brandan Schiepatti growling the words 'I DONT GIVE A FUCK!..'
In this song came one of the highlights of the night, Brandan, hand on my head, face only centermeters away sang at me as i did him...YAY!

Some other songs they played include Sister Charlatan, Love Lost In A Hail Of Gun Fire, The Painkiller, Tragedy Of Empty Streets and Revenge I Seek.
They finished with Kill To Believe, rounding up a truely awesome set with a brilliant song.
By this time my head felt like it would fall off my neck, having headbanged waay to much. (Work on Saturday was well painful and even now my neck hurts whenever i move! I've also got a nice lumpy bruise on my ancle from a flailing pitter, but you cant complain :)

After the gig i met all the lovely members of Bleeding Through and got photos and many signitures on three albums, two DVD's, a poster advertising the gig and the running time list. I didnt have a damn ticket because Rock Ciy have adopted the stupid thought that its easier to just tick your name off a list than give you the ticket YOU PAID FOR if its ordered within two weeks of the gig. Bloody idiots.
